Advances grafting tissue transfer techniques have improved surgical outcomes but our ability fully regenerate lost or defective is limited. purpose narrative review give attention advances been made towards development new reconstruct bony defects using a engineering approach. aim bring together up date knowledge about biomaterials make an ideal scaffold; different stem cell sources their uses; growth factors methods delivery defect sites; gene therapy through vectors.
